In the Moonshot Jr School Hackathon 2021 (conducted in association with i4C), an Ideation and Innovation Competition aimed at tapping creativity in school students, two teams from Yuvabharathi Public School entered the national level finals conducted on 26.09.2021.
Team Plato Thinkers (Joshua Daniel S, Rishi Premnath of grade 8 and Raghavi Premnath of grade 7) with the problem statement on Enriching Life with Technology, submitted their idea 'Programme on a browser extension webpage that detects fake news' and emerged as winners. Team Phoenixes (Tanay Mitruka, Sanjit Govindaraj M., Varun Ojha, and Aashish Sivaram R. of grade 9) worked on the problem statement ‘Smart home, better home’ and finished as the third runner-up.
The winners have bagged Gift Vouchers, a robotic car kit, moonpreneur board game, and a 50 per cent scholarship on the innovator program by i4C. Mr. Anand Jeyasingh, the Mentor of the teams has won the SPOC award as well.
