Kovai Sahodaya Interschool Football Tournament

Yuvabharathi Public School hosted Kovai Sahodaya Schools Complex interschool football tournament. The Correspondent, Mr. Anand and Principal, Ms. Geetha Jayachandran, graced the Inauguration Ceremony on the 13th of September 2022. Mr. Rajesh, Head, Department of Physical Education at Yuvabharathi, welcomed the gathering. Around 51 teams from 17 schools in Coimbatore, Erode, Tirupur, and Karur districts participated in categories like under 14, under 17 and under 19 (Boys and Girls) with great zeal. A total of 45 matches were played across two grounds at Yuva Enclave on two days. The valedictory ceremony was conducted on the 14th of September on the school's multisport turf. Mr.Anand, Ms.Geetha Jayachandran, Mr. Girish Eswaran, Principal, PSG Public Schools, Mr. C. Sathish Kumar, Principal, Anugraha Mandhir CBSE Senior Secondary School, Mr. J. Kamal, and Ms. E. Priya Director and Principal of Springdale Public School respectively presided over the valedictory function and distributed the trophies and certificates to the winners. Ms. Pinky V. Katara, Vice Principal of Yuvabharathi Public School, proposed the vote of thanks.

Yuvabharathians emerged as the winners in the under 17 boys category and runners-up in the under 14 girls category. Caleb Samuel (U-17) won the Best Player of the Tournament award, and Haricharan S. (U-17) and Namrrutha S. (U -14) won the Best Goal Keeper award.

Sagar International School bagged the Boys Overall trophy, and Vivekanandha Academy Senior Secondary School lifted the Girls Overall trophy and Boys & Girls Overall trophy.
