Yuvabharathi's 10th Blood Donation Camp, the school's annual flagship outreach programme, was conducted on account of Independence Day 2025. 178 potential donors registered, and 114 donated blood, fostering a sense of social responsibility and philanthropy within the school community. Yuvabharathi extends its gratitude to all the benevolent donors who supported this student-led, noble initiative, which has completed its 10th edition.

Yuvabharathi Public School's Eco and Tamil Clubs staged an impactful Veedhi Nadagam (street play in Tamil) at Coimbatore’s Semmozhi Poonga on the 31st of January 2026. The Veedhi Nadagam was themed on the plastic usage in everyday life and its detrimental effects on water bodies, soil, and ultimately human health. Through resonating dialogues and expressive enactments, the students urged the public to reduce plastic consumption and embrace eco-friendly alternatives. Led by the teachers-in-charge, Mrs. S.Meenatchi and Mr.V. Ramesh, the students and members of the public took a pledge to "avoid plastics". The students walked along the park pathways carrying placards and spreading their message to a wider audience.
Yuvabharathi Public School has been supporting Shanti Ashram's "Poverty Solutions" since 2012. This annual outreach programme supports Sustainable Development Goal 1: Ending Poverty.
On the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty 2025, students contributed their piggy bank savings to support scholarships, food banks, and nutritional literacy initiatives of Shanti Ashram. Parents and staff also donated food grains and essentials to help end child poverty.
A group of students from Yuvabharathi prepared and distributed meals to around 70 needy people near Government Arts College, Coimbatore, on the 28th of September, 2025. The initiative reflected the students' compassion and commitment to serving the community.
With the objective of enhancing the students' teaching-learning experience through digital technology at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Chinnathadagam, Yuvabharathi Public School donated 10 computers and 2 projectors on the 18th of September 2025. Expressing his gratitude to the Management, the Headmaster stated that the computers and the projectors will be utilised in the classrooms and computer lab to enhance digital learning opportunities for students.
Students from Yuvabharathi Public School visited the Coimbatore Corporation Old Age Home at R.S. Puram on the 2nd of September and the 7th of November 2025. The students entertained the elders with songs, chit-chats, and light-hearted activities, creating memories filled with care and affection.
The visit offered students an eye-opening experience, reminding them of the value of empathy, respect, and the joy of companionship.
Yuvabharathi students volunteered at the Humane Animal Society (HAS), a non-profit trust dedicated to the welfare of stray animals in Coimbatore, on Sundays from July 2025 to October 2025. During their visits, the students learned about the challenges faced by the shelter animals and volunteered to clean the shelter, walk the dogs, and bathe them. They also spruced up the driveway, made dog beds, and spent caring time with both puppies and older dogs.
A team of nine students and two teachers from Yuvabharathi Public School conducted an awareness workshop at Corporation High School, Ramasamy Nagar, Coimbatore on 13.08.2025. Benefiting about 120 students of Grades 9 and 10 from Corporation High School, this student-led session included presentations, interactive discussions, and awareness charts on Cyber Safety. Stationery items were also distributed, making the initiative both impactful and memorable.
Yuvabharathi students transformed their Pongal Vizha 2025 celebrations into an act of service by turning proceeds from food and game stalls into scholarships. A total of nine toppers from three government schools received scholarships for securing the first, second, and third positions in the grade 12 board exams. The scholarships were presented during the morning assemblies of Government Higher Secondary School, Panneermadai (August 11, 2025), Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Chinnathadagam (August 12, 2025), and Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Chinnathadagam (August 13, 2025). This initiative not only rewarded excellence but also motivated peers, sparking renewed interest in academics across the schools.
Sustainable Development Goal 3 advocates for equitable access to healthcare services for all men and women. Yuvabharathi Public School, in collaboration with the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Coimbatore Branch, organised a Free Dental Screening Camp at Corporation Middle School, Appanaickenpalayam on 05.08.2025. Inaugurated by the Ward Councillor, the camp was supported by 7 dentists along with 11 Yuvabharathi students and teachers. A total of 185 students benefited from this free dental check-up, dental kits provided by IDA, and stationery items distributed by Yuvabharathi. An oral health awareness session was also conducted, educating children on dental hygiene and preventive care. The initiative promoted health and well-being while instilling in our students the values of service and social responsibility.
World Nature Conservation Day is observed on July 28 to raise awareness about the importance of preserving the natural environment. Clean-up drives are one of the most effective ways to clear waste from natural habitats. Non-biodegradable wastes, such as plastic litter, can be hazardous to soil health and lead to groundwater contamination. Yuvabharathi Public School participated in the Clean-up drive at Ponnuthaman Temple and the "Avoid Plastic" Campaign.
Plastic Clean-up Drive at the Ponnuthu Amman temple, located approximately 2 km inside the forest and has a waterfall nearby, which is regularly visited by elephants to drink water. The students cleaned the premises and the nearby trekking area, which was littered with plastic and other non-biodegradable wastes.
The Tamil Nadu Forest Department, Anamalai Tiger Reserve, and Coimbatore Forest Division organised a large-scale Plastic Cleaning Campaign, coordinated by TREE NGO (Trust for Environment & Ecosystem), to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution.
The campaign brought together 950 students from Yuvabharathi Public School along with Coimbatore Range field staff and TREE NGO volunteers and an impactful human formation spelling out "AVOID PLASTIC" sent a strong message to create a plastic-free environment. This initiative aimed to strengthen collective efforts to protect our forests and wildlife.
Commemorating Karmaveerar Kamarajar’s Birthday on July 15, 2025, which is celebrated as Educational Development Day in Tamil Nadu, the students of Yuvabharathi Public School launched a Stationery Bank. Initiated by 10 students from grades 9 to 12, and supported by contributions from the entire student body, the collected items were distributed to four government schools-Panchayat Union Elementary School (Chinnathadagam), Panchayat Union Primary School (Panneermadai), Corporation Primary School (K.N.G. Pudur), and Government Higher Secondary School (Panneermadai)-as well as to Ashraya Bala Bhavan, Bommanampalayam, a home for about 75 underprivileged girls. This initiative supported the learning needs of more than 1,000 children while nurturing in our students the values of sharing, service, and social responsibility.
A total of 50 Yuvabharathi students volunteered on two Saturdays (05.07.2025 & 02.08.2025) at the Thiru Perur Patteeswarar Temple, one of Coimbatore’s most historic temples dating back over 1,500 years. The student volunteers actively engaged in maintaining cleanliness in and around the temple premises, helping preserve the sanctity and heritage of this sacred site.
On World Environment Day (05.06.2025), the 2 TN Air Sqn. NCC Cadets (Troop No. 38 B) from Yuvabharathi Public School took part in a Clean-up Drive at Maruthamalai Temple, Coimbatore. Joining hands with the Coimbatore Forest Division, TREE (Trust for Environment & Ecosystem) NGO, and Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd., the cadets cleared plastic and other non-biodegradable waste from the temple premises. This clean-up drive reinforced collective responsibility among the students for environmental conservation as they made meaningful contributions to a cleaner and greener environment.
Yuvabharathi celebrated the 55th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22, 2025, in collaboration with the Coimbatore Forest Division, TREE NGO, and Bisleri Bottles for Change, and launched a mega ‘Clean-Up Drive’ on 22 April 2025. The 2025 Earth Day theme, "Our Power, Our Planet," encourages us to commit to harnessing renewable energy to build a sustainable, equitable, and prosperous future for everyone. The drive aimed at promoting environmental awareness and responsible waste management among the public. Around 110 Yuvabharathi students volunteered and collected 800 Kg of non-biodegradable waste from the foothills of Velliangiri and Kovai Kutralam in the Boluvampatti Range. Beyond removing litter, the students' responsible action aimed to set an example and become active guardians of their environment.
Yuvabharathi Public School conducted a Biodiversity Day awareness campaign at Krishnampathy Lake in collaboration with the Coimbatore Forest Division, TREE NGO, and the Tamil Nadu Climate Change Mission on the 22nd of May, 2025. As part of the initiative, 37 Yuvabharathi students actively participated by distributing approximately 1,000 awareness pamphlets to the public and engaging with local residents about the importance of protecting the lake and avoiding waste disposal in and around it. The campaign aimed to promote environmental responsibility and support biodiversity conservation.
