Yuvabharathi's Blood Donation Drive is a student-led initiative that started in 2014 to save the lives of accident victims. This annual flagship outreach programme saw its 9th iteration on 15.08.2024. The students and staff joined hands with Coimbatore Medical College Hospital to conduct the camp. 164 potential donors registered for the camp, and 96 individuals donated blood.

The 2024 Wayanad landslides are considered among the deadliest weather events in India in recent decades. Students of Yuvabharathi conducted intraschool campaigning and collected relief materials for the landslide-affected people staying in relief camps. They coordinated and collected dry rations, blankets, toiletries, toys, etc. The relief materials were sent to the Wayanad Relief camps by the Yuvbharathi's outreach wing.
Yuvabharathi thanks all the parents, teachers, and others who contributed relief materials. It also appreciates all the student volunteers who helped mobilise the relief materials and alleviate the people's suffering at the relief camps.
From August 2024 to October 2024, our students volunteered on Sundays at the Humane Animal Society (HAS), a non-profit trust that addresses the welfare of stray animals in Coimbatore. During their visit, the students discussed the challenges facing the pets, cleaned the grounds, walked the dogs, and even helped bathe them. They also spruced up the driveway, moved doggy beds, and engaged with puppies and older dogs.
A total of 42 students participated for 3 Saturdays (31.08.2024, 21.09.2024, & 23.11.2024) in the cleaning of Virundeeswarar temple, an ancient temple in Coimbatore, more than 1300+ years old, believed to have been constructed by the Chozha kings in the 7th century.
On 22.10.2024, 10 students volunteered and conducted the "Safe Touches: Awareness and Education programme" at Corporation Primary School, K.N.G. Pudur, Coimbatore. They conducted activities and made presentations on Good and Bad touches.
On 22.10.2024, along with the Resources Person Dr.K.Harrini, Gynecologist, 5 Yuvabharathi students participated in the “Adolescent Education: Puberty - Challenges and Choices” programme at Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School, R.S. Puram, Coimbatore.
On 24.10.2024, 24 Yuvabharathi students visited the Coimbatore Corporation Old Age Home, R.S. Puram and offered warm company and entertainment to the elders. They spent some meaningful time with the lonely souls.
On 08.11.2024, 16 Students from Yuvabharathi conducted awareness programme on Drug Abuse Resistance, Health & Nutrition for the students at the Corporation High School, Kovilmedu. They made presentations and conducted interactive sessions with the students.
Yuvabharathi's Outreach wing organized Colours of Hope: Transforming School Walls, a wall painting event on 28.09.2024 to beautify the walls of Corporation Primary School, K.N.G. Pudur. 10 Yuvabharathians meticulously carried the wall painting work under the guidance of the art teachers. They cleaned the walls first, then unleashed their creativity to draw theme-based pictures. Later, they painted the drawing with brilliant colours.
On 26.06.2024, 38 student volunteers took a rally at Appanaickenpalayam, Kanuavi area to spread awareness about drug abuse. The volunteers carried placards with messages highlighting the ill effects of drug abuse and the resultant social, medical and economic problems. They also shouted slogans, garnering the attention of the public to be aware and to stop this social evil.
Eradicating extreme poverty for everyone is a pivotal goal of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Yuvabharathi students have been volunteering to achieve "Sustainable Development Goal 1: ending poverty" through outreach programmes.
Since 2012, Yuvabharathi Public School has actively supported Shanti Ashram's Poverty Solutions. Yuvabharathians purchased piggy banks this year (2024) and filled them with their savings and pocket money. The amount donated through piggy banks will support scholarships to underprivileged children, Food banks, nutritional literacy programmes, and other initiatives by Shanti Ashram.
Yuvabharathians observed the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty (IDEP) 2024 in association with Shanti Ashram, supporting their fight against Child Poverty. Parents, students, and staff donated food grains, as well as other supplies, to support the mission of ending child poverty through Food banks.
