Yuvabharathi Model United Nations, Chapter 2

Yuvabharathi's delegation won awards and made a name for themselves at national level MUNs (Model United Nations), such as IIMUN, and international level MUNs, such as Yale MUN XLVIII. Yuvabharathi launched YBMUN in 2021–22 (virtual intraschool edition) and successfully conducted its second chapter (intraschool edition) on the 27th and 28th of January, 2023.YBMUN Chapter 2 had four committees (IMF, DISEC, UNHRC, and WHO) with agendas based on contemporary issues like nontraditional reserve currencies, biological warfare, child labour, and plastic pollution after COVID-19.

Ms. Geetha Jayachandran, the Principal, presided over as the Chief Guest for the Opening Ceremony. Mr. Darshan Momaya (Marketing Consultant & Head of Programs, Mirai and YBPS Alumnus), the Guest Speaker, delivered an intellectually stimulating speech on the role of MUN in honing 21st-century skills. The conference ended with every committee unanimously passing the resolutions, thus satiating the very purpose of the committee and the agenda; The prize winners were honoured with certificates during the closing ceremony.
