STEM team from Yuvabharathi received a Nomination in the "Bold and Audacious Idea" Category at the DFC I CAN School Challenge 2025. Design for Change (DFC) is one of the world's largest child-led movements, empowering students to identify real-life problems in their communities and create meaningful solutions using the FIDS Framework – Feel, Imagine, Do, Share.
In 2025-26, Ashwanth A.K (9C), Sreeram K (9B), Kailasdev N.P (9D), and Abhinav N (9D) worked on the project "STRAYCARE CONNECT: The Simple Way to End Rabies" under the guidance of Mr. N. Sreeraj. The team participated in this national challenge, in which young changemakers across India were invited to Reimagine India @ 2047—the India they dream of as our nation celebrates 100 years of independence. Through field visits, stakeholder interactions, and research, the team designed a prototype that connects volunteers, NGOs, and stray animal data to support timely welfare activities.
Yuvabharathi’syoung changemakers impressed the jury with their innovative idea and commitment to creating a safer future. This fetched them a "Bold and Audacious Idea" Category Nomination, which presented a ₹25,000 cash grant, medals, certificates, and a trophy for the school.
