Yuvabharathi's Annual Sports Day 2025-26

The Annual Sports Day of Yuvabharathi Public School was held on the 23rd of December 2025, at the school's Multi-sports turf. Sports Day promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and competition, encouraging the students to display their excellence in sports and games.

The School Band's incredible percussion section presented rhythmic beats, followed by a disciplined march by the NCC cadets, showcasing unity, coordination, and belongingness. The school prefect delivered the welcome address, and all four Houses performed a magnificent march past, saluting the dignitaries of the day. Ms.Geetha Jayachandran, the Principal, unfurled the school flag and took the salute. She lit the torch, which was then relayed by the sports achievers, culminating in the lighting of the cauldron. Mr. Sanjeev Anand, the Correspondent, declared the Sports Day open, and Mr. N. Rajesh, Head of the Department of Physical Education, presented the annual sports report summarising the school's achievements at various levels.

The impressive displays of Yoga and Gymnastics by the students showcased flexibility, balance, and coordination. The Mass Drills performed by all the Houses demonstrated unity and synchronisation. The track and field events showcased the students' zeal and determination to bring glory to their respective Houses. The prize distribution ceremony honoured the winners of the various events organised for students, parents, and support staff. The Cedar House bagged the Best Marching Contingent trophy, the Maple House won the Best Mass Drill award and the Best Cheer House award, and the Oak House was conferred the Fair Play award. The athletes who won Individual Championships were honoured with the trophies. The Principal presented the Overall Championship Trophy to Maple House, which topped the points table for the second consecutive year.
