Yuvabharathi's 10th Blood Donation Camp

Yuvabharathi celebrated India's 79th Independence Day on August 15, 2025. Ms.Geetha Jayachandran, the Principal, hoisted the national flag, and the I-Day celebrations featured a march past by the NCC cadets and an impressive band performance. Students patriotically portrayed episodes from our freedom struggle, such as the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, the Dandi March, and the role of Indian revolutionary Kodi kaatha Kumaran in the independence movement.

Yuvabharathi's 10th Blood Donation Camp, the school's annual flagship outreach programme, was conducted on account of Independence Day. This student-led initiative was first held in 2014 to support victims of road accidents. The Grade 12 students led the awareness campaign through posters, oral promotions, videos, and direct interactions with parents. This year's camp was supported by Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, with 178 donors registering for the camp. Of these, 114 individuals, including parents, teachers, non-teaching staff, and alumni, were found to be eligible and donated blood.
