Yuvabharathi's 9th Cross Country Race for Healthy Soils

In conjunction with World Soil Day (December 5th 2025), Yuvabharathi's 9th Cross Country Race was held on the 29th of November 2025 in association with Coimbatore Forest Division to raise awareness of the significance of healthy soil and promote sustainable soil management. More than 600 harriers, including students from Grades 4 to 12 and parents, participated in the cross country race in the 3 km, 5 km, and 7 km categories.

Mr. G. Vijaya Kumar, Assistant Conservator of Forests, Coimbatore Forest Division, flagged off the Cross Country Race in the presence of the dignitaries, including Mr. V. Thirumurugan, Forest Range Officer, and Ms. Geetha Jayachandran, Principal of Yuvabharathi. Mr. S. Harigokul, Vice President, and Mr. B.Shakthi, Coordinator from TREE (Trust for Environment and Eco System) NGO graced the event. The harriers began their routes from Madathur, Dhaliyur, and Pannimadai, and concluded the event at the school premises. During the prize distribution ceremony, Mr. Mari Muthu, Forester and Ms. Geetha Jayachandran presented medals and certificates to the winners across all categories. All the finishers received medals.
