Sandhya Raag - Season 6

Sandhya Raag, the annual signature music and dance fest of Yuvabharathi, commemorated its sixth edition in November 2023.

Sandhya Raag is a signature event and an integral part of the Visual and Performing Arts Week that took place between November 6th and November 10th, 2023. Sandhya Raag showcases the talents of seasoned practitioners of classical forms of music, dance and musical instruments. This platform has been created in an attempt to preserve our tradition since classical art forms are witnessing its degeneration gradually.

Presided by our Chairman, Mr. C. Anand, our Correspondent, Mr. Sanjeev Anand, our Principal, Ms. Geetha Jayachandran, our advisor Ms. Meenakshi Vaidyanathan, the session was ignited by a fuelling performance of our school choir with 51 singers and 8 instrumentalists invoking the divine. This was followed by solo performances of our students. A variety of performances were sequenced to accommodate the interests of the audience - Bharatanatyam, vocal music and instruments like tabla, guitar, drums and parai to name a few. This session, which lasted for 90 minutes of soulful renditions, filled the minds of the audience with a sense of fulfilment. The audience included lovers of classical art forms who generously appreciated the school for this initiative to respect and preserve the traditional art forms and the performers who displayed not just their talent but also their intense devotion and commitment towards their practice.
