Yuvabharathi Public School celebrated Pongal, retracing its cultural roots and transforming the campus into a rustic village hosting a fair. Students clad in ethnic wear joined hands with the teachers and set up the village fair with stalls selling things ranging from Goli soda and cotton candy to mangoes and gooseberries. This fair, aptly called 'Thai Magal Thiruvizha', also had games like darts, balloon shooting, and amusement rides like Merry-go-round and Ferris wheel, which gave the visitors the taste of a village fair. Children enjoyed flying kites, uriyadi, and pottery, creating memories in our traditional way. The day's highlight included the students' show-stopping performances, such as parai, kolattam, oyilattam, and kummiyattam, proclaiming that we should cherish our roots through traditional festivals.
