Annual Sports Day 2024-25

Yuvabharathi celebrated Annual Sports Day 2024-25 on August 24, 2024, on its Multi-Sports Turf at Yuva Enclave. The sports day celebrated and honoured the students' physical prowess, competitiveness, and spirit of sportsmanship. Mr. Sanjeev Anand, the Correspondent, Mr. Anand and Mrs. Nehaarika Sanjeev, Members of the School Management, presided over the event.

Mr.Sanjeev Anand and Ms.Geetha Jayachandran, the Principal, unfurled the national and school flags, respectively. The event had march-past by seniors and juniors, and Ms.Maheshwari Baskaran, the Admin Officer, took the salute. The Principal lit the torch, which was relayed by the sports achievers and ended with the lighting of the cauldron. The Correspondent declared the Sports Day open, and Mr. N.Rajesh, Head of the Department of Physical Education, presented the annual sports report. The track and field events that followed highlighted the athletes' speed, strength, skill, and spirit.

A spectacular demonstration of taekwondo, pyramid acrobatic formation, gymnastics, hula hoop, free flow, cheering, and shuffle dances, and astonishing performances of yoga and classical dance fusion, lezim, and parai enthralled the audience. The podium finishers were honoured with medals, and individual championship winners were presented with trophies.

The Oak House bagged the Best Marching Contingent trophy (Senior & Junior), and the Maple House secured the trophy for their outstanding Drill Performance. The Pine House bagged the Best Cheering House award, and the Cedar House was conferred the Fair Play award. The Maple House lifted the Overall Championship Trophy for the academic year 2024-25.
