11th blood donation camp on Independence Day

Yuvabharathi celebrated the 80th year of Indian Independence with great patriotic fervour and pride on 15th August 2026. The celebration, organised under the theme "Freedom was never free", reminded everyone of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters for our nation's Independence and inspired students to contribute to its future. The programme commenced with Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the flag hoisting by the Principal, Ms. Sindhu Joseph and a solemn Flag Salute. The atmosphere was filled with patriotism as students sang the Flag Song - "Thayin Manikodi", followed by the NCC Parade with Band, which showcased discipline and synchronised unity. An energetic dance performance by the students and the visual presentation were defining segments of the day. It included: Decade-wise Icons Representation - honouring leaders and changemakers from each decade since Independence; "If history returned for one last conversation" - an insightful enactment that connected the past with the present. The celebrations continued with the Vande Mataram Song and concluded with the National Anthem.

In honour of the sacrifices made by our martyrs for our freedom, Yuvabharathi held its 11th blood donation camp, a student-led outreach programme, on its premises. This annual flagship programme, conducted since 2014, was organised in partnership with Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. This year's camp had 206 donors registered from parents, the public, alumni, and staff. Out of these, 161 were found eligible and donated blood.

The Management extended heartfelt gratitude to all donors and the school community for coming together to make this initiative a remarkable success.
