In 2022, after graduating from Yuvabharathi, I embarked on my academic journey at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems Engineering. Before university, I had the invaluable opportunity to participate in the Atal Tinkering lab during high school, where I gained hands-on experience in various engineering principles, skills (Coding, Robotics, 3D modelling & printing) and projects. This early exposure to practical applications ignited my passion for problem-solving and innovation. At Carleton, my programme has allowed me to explore the intricate balance between hardware and software, further enhancing my skills. I’ve embraced challenges, collaborated with peers, and sharpened my abilities as a future engineer. Beyond academics, I dedicate my time to programming, continuously refining my craft, and working a part-time job to support myself, which has taught me valuable lessons in discipline and time management.

After graduating from Yuvabharathi, I embarked on a journey to pursue an undergraduate Biological Sciences degree focusing on genetics, fuelled by my passion for biology nurtured during my school years. The values instilled by the school reflect the confidence and resilience that I show in my academic work and internships. Yuvabharathi provided me with a solid academic foundation that fostered critical thinking and a love for learning that continues to drive me. I owe much of my growth to the supportive environment at Yuvabharathi, which plays an instrumental role in making me the aspiring biologist I am today.

Guided by a curiosity to explore and a love for hands-on lab experiences cultivated during school, I pursued Biomedical Engineering at IIT BHU, diving into the intersection of science and innovation. Today, I thrive in a business role. Spending my entire schooling years at YBPS, from preschool to Grade 12, played a key role in my academic and personal development. The school’s focus on both academics and extracurricular activities gave me a well-rounded experience, fostering passions that have stayed with me throughout college and beyond. I live by the belief that life is a journey best embraced with an open mind, allowing each path to lead me to new and enriching experiences.

After graduating from Yuvabharathi, I embarked on a new chapter at Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai, pursuing B.Com. Honours, specialising in Accounting and Finance. The vibrant environment and endless opportunities at the school shaped me into a well-rounded student, ready to take on the world. Little did I know that the next chapter of my story would take me to the bustling city of London, where I pursued an M.Sc .in International Management at King's College London, specializing in Strategy and Business Model Innovation. I look back with immense gratitude on a journey filled with growth and discovery. From Yuvabharathi to King's College London, every step has been an adventure, preparing me to tackle the future with confidence and a global perspective.

I graduated from Yuvabharathi in 2017, and from IISER Bhopal with a BS+MS in physics in 2022. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh. My area of research is biological physics. I use mathematical models and computer simulations to study the physics of cell growth, division and multiplication. I belong to a research group with whom I collaborate and occasionally travel to present my work at conferences held at various places around the world. Our research has applications in population ecology and in cancer and drug research. Apart from physics and work, I enjoy rock climbing, weightlifting, learning music and reading history and philosophy.

After graduating from Yuvabharathi in 2019 and Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research in 2022, I pursued a Master's in Biochemical & Molecular Nutrition at Tufts University. During this journey, I was exposed to various fields, from clinical practice to intensive nutrition research, and somewhere along the way, I found my true calling—Epigenetics! I began working as a research associate at the Beckman Research Institute at the City of Hope Cancer Center in 2024. I work in a collaborative lab, partnering with various other research groups and also attend conferences and talks. I believe that if I am where I am today, it's because of the solid foundation Yuvabharathi helped me build. I will always be grateful to everyone at Yuvabharathi for shaping me into the person I am today.

My schooling at Yuvabharathi laid a strong foundation in both academics and personal growth. Subsequently, I joined IIT Madras to pursue my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, where I began exploring the vast area of Engineering Science. At the end of four transformative years, my journey in a professional environment began by working for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) as a systems engineer. After two years in this role, I felt the urge to take up a research path in order to enhance my appreciation of the subject and boost my career. This led me to pursue an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at the Delft University of Technology, specializing in the field of High Tech Engineering. My immense interest in deducing solutions to different practical engineering problems is what led me to choose the research path. I believe that working towards disruptive technologies will be an exceptional contribution to society, leading to sustainable development.
