From Pencils to Scalpels: A school's spirit, a surgeon's soul

Driven by a passion for surgery and discovery, the journey began with chalk dust and morning prayers and now finds rhythm in the operating room. From Yuvabharathi Public School to Madras Medical College, it has been a path of relentless learning, unwavering dedication, and deep purpose. YBPS was a sanctuary where curiosity bloomed and dreams first took shape.

My leadership journey began modestly as a class monitor, grew as I proudly served as Vice-Captain of Maple House, and culminated in my role as School Prefect. Today, as a Consultant General Surgeon, I carry those same values of duty, empathy, and commitment into every patient interaction and decision I make.

Equally, YBPS allowed me to become an all-rounder beyond the classroom. As football captain and a proud member of the cricket, kabaddi, and handball teams, I learned the discipline of training, the beauty of teamwork, and the quiet pride of representing something greater than myself.

Somewhere between the chemistry lab and the dissection hall, a spark for innovation was kindled in the field of nanotechnology in surgery. Though it remains a formidable frontier, it is a space where I dream of contributing someday, blending precision with possibility. YBPS did not just equip me with knowledge; it instilled a spirit of courage and ambition. As I continue this journey, I remain guided by its enduring motto: Initiating Inquiry.
