Yuvabharathian finishes as runner-up at the State-level Badminton Tournament

In the Tamil Nadu state under 15 Championship 2021 Tournament conducted by Tamilnadu Badminton Association at Erode from the 21st to 26th of September 2021, Jayanth C.B. of Grade 8 finished as runner-up in the Boys Doubles Category.

Yuvabharathian enters the Cholan Book of World Records

Iniya Raghavi S. of grade 8 entered the Cholan Book of World Records for being one of the eighty-eight participants who have successfully performed the longest holding of a wheel pose - Chakrasana together with the team continuously for five minutes. She achieved this world record together as a team with an individual record of 5.06 minutes. This event was organised with the intention of promoting students talents who are at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic and this record is recognized as the first of its kind.

Yuvabharathians win Hackathon 2021!

In the Moonshot Jr School Hackathon 2021 (conducted in association with i4C), an Ideation and Innovation Competition aimed at tapping creativity in school students, two teams from Yuvabharathi Public School entered the national level finals conducted on 26.09.2021.

Team Plato Thinkers (Joshua Daniel S, Rishi Premnath of grade 8 and Raghavi Premnath of grade 7) with the problem statement on Enriching Life with Technology, submitted their idea 'Programme on a browser extension webpage that detects fake news' and emerged as winners. Team Phoenixes (Tanay Mitruka, Sanjit Govindaraj M., Varun Ojha, and Aashish Sivaram R. of grade 9) worked on the problem statement ‘Smart home, better home’ and finished as the third runner-up.

The winners have bagged Gift Vouchers, a robotic car kit, moonpreneur board game, and a 50 per cent scholarship on the innovator program by i4C. Mr. Anand Jeyasingh, the Mentor of the teams has won the SPOC award as well.

Yuvabharathi ATL students recognised as the Most Consistent Students of ATL Tinkerpreneur!

ATL Tinkerpreneur Bootcamp, a 9-week virtual Bootcamp, was conducted by Atal Innovation Mission to equip the students with 21st century digital and entrepreneurial skills to build their digital venture this summer break. Around 9000 students participated in this Bootcamp across the states and 6 students from Yuvabharathi ATL are recognized among the Most Consistent Students of ATL Tinkerpreneur 2021 by their Mentors.

Yuvabharathian among Top 20 achievers in India

Team Yuva congratulates Sarveshvar S. of Grade 10 on being listed among the Top 20 under 20 (Top 20 Youngsters under the age of 20 years) by White Canvas India in association with Brainfeed magazine. Around 8000 youngsters from all over India participated in this competition and Sarveshvar got this recognition in the category of music after clearing many rounds during the last 11 months. It is in fact one more feather added to his cap along with the 'GRANDMASTER' title from Asia Book of Records and entry into India Book of Records for being the youngest to achieve LTCL Drum Kit Recital Certificate with Distinction – Diploma in Music Performance, which is equivalent to an undergraduate degree, awarded by Trinity College, London.

Yuvabharathi Public School’s Department of Psychology repeated the feat of winning the Overall Winners Title at TATTVA 2.0 (a national-level Psychology Fest) organised by Cauvery Global Senior Secondary School, Trichy on the 5th of September 2021.

Yuvabharathi’s Project Piranha among Top 300 teams in India and Top 10 in Tamilnadu

Piranha, a prototype of sewage block removal bot designed by Marudhu Paandian K., Rishi Menon, and K. A. Shabesa from Yuvabharathi Public School has been selected as one of the top 300 innovations at the national level and top 10 teams in Tamilnadu state.

ATL Marathon is a flagship competition for Atal Innovation Mission where students with the help of their ATL in-charges and mentors carefully research, ideate, innovate and implement their innovations over a period of six months. ATL Marathon 2020 witnessed over 7200 innovations from 32 states and 324 districts.

The top teams in the state will get special recognition from AIM and will have the opportunity to attend the ATL Student Innovator Program (SIP). SIP is an internship opportunity where the winners will be trained on business and entrepreneurial skills and get a chance to work with Atal Innovation Mission’s industry partners/Atal Incubation Centres to further enhance their ideas and prototypes.

Yuvabharathi’s Rollerskaters make a mark at the National level Championship

In the 58th National Roller Skating Championship conducted by the Roller Skating Federation of India in the city of Mohali & Chandigarh from the 31st of March to the 11th of April 2021, participants from various parts of the country competed. Representing the state of Tamilnadu, our students Aarav Srijith bagged the Gold medal in the Alpine Event (under the 11-14 age category), Naveena P. and Srinithi P. S. secured the silver and the bronze respectively in the Alpine event (Girls under 11-14 years category). Sasmita S. D. finished fourth in the Speed Inline Road IV (7 - 9 years category).

Yuvabharathians rock at the State level Championship

In the 30th Tamilnadu Roller Skating Championship organized and conducted by Tamilnadu Roller Skating Association, students of Yuvabharathi Public School excelled in various events and qualified for the Nationals. Srinithi P. S. clinched the gold medal in Alpine, the silver and the bronze in Speed Inline Road IV and Rink V (11-14 years category) respectively. Nila M. bagged the gold medal in the Speed Inline Point to Point (14 - 17 years), Naveena P. secured the silver medals in Speed Slalom and Alpine (11-14 years), Sasmita S. D. secured the silver and the bronze in Speed Inline Road IV and Rink IV (7 - 9 years) respectively, and Aarav Srijith secured the silver in Alpine and the bronze in Speed Inline Road IV (11-14 years). Let's Code a Hat Trick! A Hat Trick at Let's Code!

“Let’s Code, Tamil Nadu" a state-level coding competition was organised by KGISL Institute of Technology in January 2021. Team De-bug consisting of coders Shabesa K. A., Marudu Paandiyan K. and Rishi Menon of Grade 11 submitted their project titled MEDBAY and emerged as winners. MEDBAY is a project on the Online Hospital Management System cum Health Information System providing all the information to doctors, patients, and paramedic personnel of the same hospital, in just one click. Team De-bug bagged the 'Coding Champions' trophy and a cash prize of 3000 INR.

It is to be highlighted that this Yuvabharathi team has won the 'Coding Champions' trophy for the third time in a row (2019, 2020 and 2021) continuing the winning streak in the domain of coding. Team Yuva congratulates the trio on their hat trick!

Medallist at the 57th National Roller Skating Championship

Naveena P. of Grade 6 A has won a Silver medal (Alpine Event) in the 57th National Roller Skating Championship organised by Roller skating federation of India held in December 2019 at Vizag. She bagged three Gold medals (Alpine, Speed Slalom, Classic Slalom) in the 29th Tamilnadu State Level Roller Skating Championship organised by Tamilnadu roller skating association in November 2019 at Kangeyam and four Gold medals (Alpine, Downhill, Speed Slalom, Classic Slalom) in the 26th Coimbatore District Level Roller Skating Championship.


LET'S CODE COIMBATORE - A 30-hour LIMCA RECORD Fest - sponsored by various IT industries was conducted at KGiSL Institute of Technology, Coimbatore in November 2019. Two of our teams emerged as title winners:

    In the CBSE National Roller Skating Championship held at Belgaum, Karnataka Sasmita S. D. of grade 2 won a bronze medal in the under 8 Inline category, 300 metre event.

    Yuvabharathi's Tinkering Team Project - COMPOUND EYES-SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM bagged the first prize and cash award INR 30,000 at Coimbatore Science and Technology Festival 2019, one of the biggest Science Fairs of Coimbatore, conducted on the 6th and 7th of January 2019 at Codissia Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore. "Compound eyes" deals with a surveillance bot for home security system providing security for residences that are prone to wild cat attacks.

    All India 2nd Rank in the finals of 'SOF -Techfest Innovation Challenge(IC)

    Advait Iyer of Grade 10 participated in 'SOF-Techfest Innovation Challenge(IC)'. He was shortlisted as one of the 20 students qualifying for the final round conducted at IIT Bombay. He has bagged All India 2nd Rank in the finals and his entry is shortlisted in the All-India Top 20 submissions for the “SOF-Techfest Innovation Challenge(IC)”. As a result, Advait has been selected to join a 10 day International Smart Holidays camp in Russia scheduled from 3rd to 11th of January 2019 where he gets an opportunity to learn new educational skills, work on new projects and also visit various science museums in Moscow.     Yuvabharathi wins the best delegation award at IIMUN Championship Conference 2018, Mumbai

    Yuvabharathi Public School has won the Best Munning school in India award at IIMUN Championship Conference (the finale event of IIMUN 2017-18, where about 3000 school students from 42 countries competed for the BEST MUN school Trophy) held at Mumbai from the 10th to 13th of August, 2018. 19 delegates from our school participated in the conference.

    Yuvabharathi hosts the Third edition of IIMUN Coimbatore Chapter - July

    Yuvabharathi Public School presented the third edition of Indian International Model United Nations (IIMUN) Coimbatore Chapter from the 13th to 15th of July 2018. Around 600 student delegates from 25 schools from across various districts of Tamil Nadu participated in the three day conference to debate, discuss, and find solutions for global issues and pressing needs of the people.

    In the closing ceremony conducted on the 15th of July, Mr. A. P. Nagarajan, M.P. of Coimbatore constituency presided over and delivered a thought provoking speech. Yuvabharathi Public School bagged the Best Delegation Award for the second time in a row. Prize winners were awarded with medals and certificates.

    Yuvabharathi Public School emerged as overall champions in the Kovai Sahodaya Schools Complex Inter School Skating Competition conducted at Yuvabharathi Public School on the 10th of October 2017.

    The Indian International Model United Nations

    The second edition of the Coimbatore chapter of The Indian International Model United Nations was held at CS Academy from 28th to 30th July 2017. 38 school delegations and 700 students participated in the event, which was perhaps the largest MUN in South India. The objective of the ‘Model United Nations’ was to create a platform for the youth and provide a responsible and credible medium to put forth their ideas. Disha Nahata, Kritheega Devi R, Smayan Santosh, Shradha Sreekumar and Varsha bagged the Best Delegate Award. Aadhish S. won the High Commendation Award. Suraj Narayanan, Rahul Harikumar A., Shyam Srinivas R., and Subramanian Meyyappan won Special Mention Award.

    Samyang P. Jain, Jayasree P., Adithya Haridas, Bharathi Kamban, Mannan Dassani, Aadithya V., Ronak Hingar S. and Aderai T. L. received Verbal Mention.

    NCS Eco Award

    Yuvabharathi Public School has been conferred NCS Eco Award 2016-17 by the Nature Conservation Society for the efforts taken in encouraging and motivating students towards nature conservation. Honourable district collector Mr.T.N.Hariharan I.A.S., presented the award.

    District Champion Daksha

    Daksha V. B. of grade 4 A has brought laurels to our school by winning the following:

    • Under-10 Doubles championship in the Summer Shuttle Fest 2017 organised by Tamilnadu Badminton Association and Virudhunagar District Badminton Association at Sivakasi in April 2017.
    • Under-10 Singles Championship in the PSG Kids Badminton Tournament organized by PSG College of Technology in May 2017.
    • Under-10 Singles and Doubles Championship in the Coimbatore District Badminton Championship organized by Coimbatore Badminton Association in June 2017.

    Olympian from Yuvabharathi

    S. A. Pranav of Grade 7 participated in Training and Selection Camp of Long Track Speed Skating held in Delhi NCR from 11 to 14 May 2017 under the guidance of Olympian Coach Mr. Marek Stanuch. He is selected for further training outside India in Long Track Speed Skating.

    Ice skating association of India conducted the qualification competition for selecting the participants of Winter Olympics 2022. Among the 20 entrants, only 6 got selected for representing our Country at the Olympics. Yuvabharathi congratulates Pranav on being selected as one of the six selected candidates.

    Asian Roller Skating Competition

    Aahil Mubarak of Grade 1 won gold medals in 500 m and 1000 m race in the in-line speed skating at the Asian Roller skating competition held in Thailand from 12.05.2017 to 17.05.2017.He is already a national and state champion.

    Pride of Yuvabharathi

    K.Darshini of Grade 3, Skating champion, has been conferred the 'Pride of Tamilnadu Award' (Sports-Emerging Category) for her achievements and contributions to the sports field. Pride of Tamilnadu Award is an initiative by the Round Table to celebrate talents from Tamilnadu in various fields. On March 13, 2016 Darshini entered the India Book of records and Asia Book of Records by covering a distance of 10.5 km in 41.03 minutes in the event titled "Quarter Skating Marathon", claimed to be the first of its kind in Asia.

    A letter to Gandhi

    With rising flood the rising lotus flower its stem unwinds; The dignity of men is measured by their minds – Thiruvalluvar (Kural 595).

    Gandhi World Foundation and Pudhiya Thalaimurai jointly organized the programme by name “A letter to Gandhi” in October 2016. This programme encouraged the young minds to voice their social concerns to Mahatma and put forth the novel ideas to overcome social hurdles. Around 3600 letters were received from enthusiasts from different states and from different walks of life. Only 20 letters were selected by a team of social activists, educationists, eminent persons from media. Swaathi R. of Grade 6 wrote a letter to Mahatma venting out her anguishes at social calamities and had registering her thought provoking suggestions. Her remarkable words fetched the winner certificate in the school category at the felicitation ceremony held at Madras Museum, Chennai on 30th January 2017.

    Atal Laboratory (ATL)

    Government of India's NITI Aayog has selected Yuvabharathi to establish Atal Laboratory (ATL) under Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) Yuvabharathi Public school is one of the 257 schools that is selected by the Government of India to establish Atal Laboratory (ATL).With a vision to ‘Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators’, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) by NITI Aayog, Government of India has plans to establish Atal Laboratories (ATLs) in selected schools across India. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM. Around 13,000 schools applied from all over India. We are one of the 257 schools selected by NITI Aayog!!!     Yuvabharathi’s Project for the Design For Change - School Challenge 2016, 'We are empowered' has been selected as one of the 100 most inspiring stories!This year, DFC India received 3610 stories of change from 27 states of India. Our story has been shortlisted among the 100 most inspiring stories of the year!.The 'I CAN' Awards event (conducted on 3rd and 4th December 2016 at Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), Ahmadabad, Gujarat) was organised to celebrate and honour our students for being the SUPERHEROES OF CHANGE. Ms. Meenakshi Vaidyanathan, Vice Principal, and Sahasrakshi S., Student representative of the 'We are empowered' team, attended the award ceremony and received the award! This is the second time we have bagged the award.

    Children made us proud on the Children’s day

    On 14 November 2016, Sudhay S., Grade 10, and Mritul S., Grade 8, created a world record by covering the longest distance in swimming in an eight-hour swimathon.

    They achieved this incredible feat at our school. Sudhay swam a distance of 13.35 KM for a continuous five hours using medley technique. Sudhay's brother Mritul covered a distance of 9.2 K M in three hours only with freestyle technique.

    It is learnt that in 67 years of World record history, these two attempts are the first of its kind.

    The above World Records are adjudicated by 5 world record companies namely Elite World Records UK Private Limited, Unique World Records, Asian Records Academy (Singapore), India Records Academy, and Tamilan Book of Records.
