Every year Yuvabharathi brings in novel changes in its co-curricular transaction. In order to give a new shade its venture in internationalism, this year we opted for an exchange programme.
We had a delightful visit of a delegation of 18 school children from École Jeannine Manuel School, Paris headed by its History and Geography teacher Barry D’Souza from 25th October to 28th October 2017 as a school exchange programme. It was a study trip to learn development and globalization in India during their Toussaint School holiday.
The trip primarily aimed at having discussion and debate on contemporary topics, practice teaching at middle school level, and buddy-ing up with Indian students and visiting nearby industry and tea estate.
Yuvabharathi christened this programme ‘Yuva Tarang’ and scheduled an array of activities for the exchange students, like traditional Indian welcome, glimpse of our Tamil Culture via special assembly and teaching common words in Tamil, Interaction with Senior Secondary Students, Orientation by Social science teachers regarding teaching practice, teaching practice at middle school, friendly basketball match, hands on experience at our paper recycling unit and interaction with buddies.
We hope this programme would pave way for enhanced mutual understanding of cultures and foster internationalism and universal brotherhood among the Gen Z.
