From time immemorial, cinema has never failed to bring out the innermost emotions of audiences around the world.<\/p>\n

MOVIEZEN, an initiative by the students of Mass Media is a visual treat to all the movie lovers out there!\u00a0Bringing to you a platform for virtual entertainment and a fundraising event that is being conducted for 3 days from 19th – 21st August 2021. MovieZen is open to all students and parents. This virtual film festival is a place for an interactive\u00a0 session in the midst of the pandemic. It’s going to be fun-filled, entertaining yet you will receive a great deal of knowledge. We have selected movies, both short films and feature films,\u00a0 that convey a social message to the audience. We bring in the hard reality in the life of common men through the movies. Our movies are not only for entertainment purposes, we connect you with the real world.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have also planned fun activities for everybody taking part to keep the audience entertained and these activities have been categorised for age group specifically. Overall Moviezen is a joyous film festival to experience the new reality. People enrolling for the Moviezen film festival will be recognized for contributing to a social cause through a certificate of recognition.<\/p>\n

How to use discord ?<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Discord is a free app that facilitates voice, text, and video chat.<\/li>\n
  2. You will be sent an invite link in the mail and be asked to join a particular server where the movies will be streamed.<\/li>\n
  3. After joining the server, there will be a text channel and a voice channel. If You have any concerns please ask us in the text channel.<\/li>\n
  4. Join the channel with the name of the movie that is to be streamed.<\/li>\n
  5. We request you to turn off your mics when you join the channel to avoid confusion and miscommunication.<\/li>\n
  6. Then the host will share their screen to present the movies to you in impeccable style.<\/li>\n

    The overview committee works on to look after all the committees on how they were proceeding in their work and to follow up from time to time. Our experience was wonderful, executing a virtual film festival is not very easy, there were a few challenges but we overcame all that through collective effort and determination that we should provide the best experience for our audience.<\/p>\n

    Our duty was to moderate Discord and help viewers to make sure we have a smooth running of the entire program. It was a wonderful experience to work with this team of good and hard working members.<\/p>\n

    The poster making team\u00a0 has put in a lot of effort and ideas in creating posters to promote moviezen. The students gave many bright ideas and shared their values in the process. They were enthusiastically participating and so it was easy to cooperate. So this made our working experience easy and enjoyable. Overall it was an amazing experience<\/p>\n
