Sports Day 2022 celebrated with spirits high!

Yuvabharathi Public School celebrated its 13th Annual Sports Day, heralding good tidings after the COVID -19 dormancy. With the school's national and international sports champions participating in the torch relay, the contingents of school houses giving the audience a spectacular march past, the Sports Day commenced with an arresting start. Ms Pooja Mahesh, the School Prefect, administered the oath and Mr Rajesh, Head, Department of Physical Education, presented the school's annual sports report listing the achievements of the sports champions during the last two years. Mr. Anand, the Correspondent, released the school magazine and declared the Sports Day open.

Cheered by the audience, the finals of the track and field events were conducted, and the winners were honoured with medals on the podium. Zestful Zumba performance, elegantly performed yoga display, spectacular drill performances of the houses, and the stunning human pyramid (acrobatic formation) decorated the majestic show that enraptured the audience. The surprising event of the day was the 400 m race conducted for the alumni who missed the fun during the last two years. Conducted on the iconic multisport turf under floodlights, the Sports Day culminated with the prize distribution for the individual champions and the best performances by the houses. The Oak House bagged the 'Best Marching Contingent' trophy, Maple bagged the trophy for their outstanding drill performance, Cedar House secured the Best cheering house trophy, and all the houses were conferred the Fair Play Award. The Pine House lifted the Overall Championship Trophy for the academic year 2022-23.
