YBMUN Chapter I

Yuvabharathi Public School organised and conducted YBMUN Chapter I (Virtual - Intraschool edition) on the 10th and 11th of September 2021.

YBMUN Chapter I had 6 committees (ECOSOC, Continuous Crisis, IMF, DISEC, UNHRC, and WHO) with contemporary issues as their agendas. After the launch of its own website on the 15th of August 2021, YBMUN received 199 registrations from grades 7 to 12. Series of workshops were conducted by senior delegates of the school and the respective chairs.

Ms. Geetha Jayachandran, the Principal, presided over as the Chief Guest for the Opening Ceremony of YBMUN on the 10th of September 2021. Ms. Kritheega Devi Ramanathan, Secretary-General, introduced the EB members and declared the conference open.

Mr. Darshan Momaya (Coordinator at Yuva Ignited Minds, YBPS Alumnus and Former School Prefect), the Guest Speaker for the Closing Ceremony, delivered a thought-provoking speech on improving Communication Skills. Ms. Meenakshi Vaidyanathan, Vice Principal, presided as the keynote speaker and felicitated the organisers and the prize winners in the closing ceremony conducted on the 11th of September 2021. The results were declared and Mr S. V. Tharun Pranav, Deputy Secretary-General, made the Valedictory Speech and declared the conference closed.
