Time Management: Set, Schedule, and Prioritise

“Senior secondary is a new and demanding phase in schooling as the students have their plates full with academics, extracurricular activities, assignments and assessments. The students may feel they do not have enough time to accomplish things and meet the deadlines. They are stressed about the periodic assessments and lose track of assignments.

In view of the above, the Career Guidance Cell organised an exclusive seminar on ‘Time Management Skills’ on the 4th of July 2022 for the Senior Secondary students.

The event was presided over by Ms. Minu Pramod, Commissioner of GST, Central Excise, and Audit, Coimbatore (1997 batch of Indian Civil Services), who was also the resource person. She is an accomplished orator and topped the personality test of Indian Civil Services in 1997. While addressing the students, she touched upon key points like how to manage and reduce stress, increase productivity, improve self-esteem, prioritise tasks and set goals. Simply put, the students were guided to set goals, schedule, prioritise and organise. The anecdotes she shared were relatable and well received by the audience.

This interactive seminar ended with a Q &A session. The students found this programme to be quite engaging and learnt how to manage time to reach their goals in an effective way.”
