Nature Camp


The NCS (Nature Conservation Society) Coimbatore and Yuvabharathi Public School conducted Nature Camp on April 5-7, 2017 for the Eco-club and Interact club children at Mudumalai Tiger reserve. The camp covered a safari, trekking and insight into the importance of natural resources and biodiversity conservation.

Design for Change project

Yuvabharathi’s Design for Change project entitled “We are empowered” was conferred “I Can Award” as it was selected as one of the most inspiring 100 stories of change across 27 states of India for the year 2016.

Atal Lab @ Yuvabharathi


National Institution for Transforming India, NITI Aayog of Government of India has selected Yuvabharathi to establish Atal Laboratory (ATL) under Atal Innovation Mission (AIM). Atal labs have a vision to ‘Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators’ with an objective to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds; and to inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc. Around 13,000 schools participated from all over the country. Yuvabharathi is one of the 257 schools selected by NITI Aayog to receive a grant-in-aid.

Biodiversity of Our School


The research wing of Yuvabharathi has successfully completed a study on the biodiversity of our school campus in collaboration with Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History. Our 8th grade children have done an investigatory study under four heads namely Tree identification, Butterfly identification, Bird identification and medicinal herbs. The results and experiences of the students were compiled and released as a book titled “Walking closer with nature @ Yuva”.

Path breaking project of 2016

The School Enterprise Challenge is an international awards programme for schools around the world. This programme guides and supports teachers and students to plan and set up real school businesses. Students develop essential skills in business and entrepreneurship in a practical, fun and innovative way. We collated our ideas and evolved the concept “Sustainable product stores” by name “Yuva Bhoomi” that sells Organic vegetables, cloth tote bags made out of used clothes, Files and greeting cards made of recycled paper manufactured at our paper recycling unit and Handicrafts made by the tribal people near Anaikatti.

Our Children, Sudhay and Mritul created world record by covering the longest distance in swimming. Sudhay swam a distance of 13.35 KM for a continuous five hours using medley technique. Mritul covered a distance of 9.2 K M in three hours with freestyle technique. It is learnt that in 67 years of World record history, these two attempts are the first of its kind. The above World Records are adjudicated by 5 world record companies namely Elite World Records UK Private Limited, Unique World Records, Asian Records Academy (Singapore), India Records Academy, and Tamilan Book of Records.

Students Interaction Programme

The third edition of Students Interaction Programme with the International Interns was conducted successfully. Interns from six countries namely Scotland, Poland, Tunisia, Czech Republic, France, and Belgium visited our campus and had interesting interaction sessions with our kids.

Model United Nations

Young delegates from Yuvabharathi participated in the International and National level Model United Nations conducted in UN USA format and The Hague International Model United Nations format. We participated in the prestigious Harvard Model United Nations, Chennai Model United nations and the India International Model United Nations Coimbatore and Vellore chapters, and won awards.

Our first Design for Change project, and the third chapter of blood donation drive was successfully conducted on 13th August, 2016 at our campus.

On 2nd July 2016, seasoned harriers from Yuvabharathi 189 in number participated in Cross Country Race 2016. They sprinted under two categories: 5 Km for middle school and 7Km for high school students.
