Design for change (DFC), a global movement spread over 35 countries, encourages children to FEEL any problem that disturbs them, IMAGINE a way to make it better, DO an act of change and SHARE their story of change with the world.

Our children, hailing from a city where at least 30 accidents occur per day, empathized with the society's need for blood, the lifesaving elixir, organized a blood donation campaign through their social club 'I Can', campaigned through screening videos, Facebook and twitter and made a change by being the first school in the city to organize a blood donation camp which had 178 donors.

We are extremely glad to share with you that our success story's entry for the Design For Change School Challenge 2014,'Save Lives' has been honoured as one of the Top 100 winning stories among 2000 stories from 24 states of India!

Our Blood Donation Campaign has received "high praise for nurturing empathy, cultivating optimism and for building the collaborative spirit" from the jury.

DFC has conferred the coveted 'I Can Award 2014' in order to recognise our noble initiative and incredible effort.

Footprints on the sands of time are not made by sitting down. Hats off to our young heroes for having gone the extra mile for BEING THE CHANGE! Kudos to Team YUVA!
